TalkForMe

The TalkForMe app gives people with a range of speech impaired disabilities a tool to allow people to get their voices heard. Images with associated typed text can be spoken by the TalkForMe App. Once a translation has been done the TalkForMe app will "talk for you" even without a Wi-Fi connection!

Tactus Language Therapy

The Language Therapy app can help people who are recovering from a stroke, aphasia, or brain injury. It targets all four language modalities - reading, writing, speaking, and listening and encourages a well-rounded speech-language therapy approach.

Talking Mats

Talking Mats enables users to have better conversations with people with communication difficulties. It provides a visual framework to help people express their views using a selection of communication symbols that cover a variety of topics. Talking Mats is used by clinical practitioners, social workers, education staff, advocates, carers and support workers in a wide range of health, social care, residential and education settings.

ChatAble lets users create, share and use pages using a combination of grids, visual scenes and hybrids; all linked together for easy use. Users can add an emoticon to add laughter, surprise or anger!

As we age and and our eyesight decreases, it becomes more difficult to see in general and to read small print. With this app seniors can illuminate and magnify books, magazines, newspapers, restaurant menus and more from Apple products. This app is free.

JABTalk is a free speech communication application designed to help non-verbal children and adults communicate. Speech therapists commonly refer to JABTalk as an easy and effective augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device.

AAC Speech Communicator is an easy to learn communication method for anyone with speech disabilities. The app forms gramatically correct sentences from a list of pictograms that are clicked and reads them (text-to-speech).

BeWarned

BeWarned offers you four must have features in one application that is going to make a difference in the way the hearing society communicates with the deaf and hard of hearing.

Sound Monitor detects sounds of potential danger in real time. The sounds detectable include screaming, car honking, dog barking and alarms. In case a dangerous situation occurs the app informs a user about it with the help of flashing lights and vibration signals.

Connect helps improve communication of deaf and hard of hearing people with the hearing society they live in. Its operating principle is simple: it converts text into speech or speech into text.
