What support is available locally?

There is a range of services available to support people with dementia and their families and carers to help them stay as independence and quality of life.

If you are concerned that you or someone you know may have dementia, you should always speak to your GP first. If you need additional care and support to manage day to day, you will need to have an assessment.

During your assessment we will discuss what you are finding difficult and what things you would like to do differently. This will help us to decide together how best to support you. There are a number of local services that specialise in supporting people with dementia:

There are also a range of gadgets and Assistive Technology, which can help support people with dementia or memory problems at home.
